Hi, welcome!
A Quick Snapshot of Me:
I’ve spent my life working across a range of creative industries—driven by a love for design, invention, and the joy of expressing ideas in fresh, meaningful ways. Whether it’s crafting captivating visuals, shaping soundscapes, playing music, or dreaming up new ideas, I find deep fulfillment in creating.
Innovation runs in my veins. My great-grandfather, Goshan S Richardson , built and flew the first plane in Australia in 1908—just a few short years after the Wright brothers. That pioneering spirit is part of my DNA.
I’m also a natural teacher. Over the years, I’ve developed 36 e-learning courses and had the privilege of training thousands of business owners and individuals in graphic design and a variety of creative software tools. I love taking complex ideas and making them simple, engaging, and easy to apply.
Above all, my faith grounds everything I do. I met Jesus and was born again at 18, and that moment shaped my life in every way since.

About
My Story
I left beautiful Australia in 2019 to pursue the amazing in the USA. My wife—a U.S. citizen who lived in Australia with me for seven years and I—felt the timing was right to start fresh. COVID and riots weren’t on our itinerary, but I refuse to let surprises slow me down.
I’ve always gravitated toward the creative. From developing e‑learning courses for Corel and Lynda.com to designing and installing audio-visual systems, my career has covered a lot of ground. I’m a qualified sound engineer and seasoned video producer. Through my site ScottGMedia.com, I offer freelance Audio A1/V1 services for corporate events, concerts, and festivals—think line‑arrays, wireless mics, projection, blending—and I also create documentary-style, corporate, and real-estate videos (including drone footage). I’m equally comfortable building WordPress sites with DIVI, optimizing them for SEO, and writing the content that actually connects.
Some might call what I do a mixed bag—Avery Dennison vehicle wraps, graphic design for cars, trucks, boats—it might sound odd, but hey, I love variety. Oh, and I can sing, but even if you’re not hiring a live performer, I channel that energy into presenting—small audiences, big stages, storytelling, humor, and yes, that Aussie accent still sneaks in.
I’m not the guy pounding pavement with a briefcase full of brochures and a cold-call list. But put me in a room with a few creative thinkers, a healthy budget, and a real challenge—and that’s where I come alive. We’ll dream big, make bold media, craft smart marketing, and build strategies that punch way above their weight… or design and produce a major corporate event from the lighting, line array, and music to a massive LED wall, from start to showtime.
Projects I’m Proud Of
- Filming A Documentary in Bangladesh: During COVID, I was contracted by Bible League USA to travel to Bangladesh and produce a short film documenting the stories of several imams converting to Christianity. I handled everything—filming, directing, sound, color grading, and post-production. It became a powerful and widely used asset for the organization. The film is restricted for viewing to protect the imams.
- Windsor Gardens High School (SA): Completely redesigned and installed audio systems for a $5 M, 5-room recording studio—second studio, actually. Also designed and commissioned a fully operational 3–4 camera broadcast suite.
- Knowing MAX marketing presentation: A tool I created to dive deep into who your business is, who your customer is, and who you might need to become. It’s inspired teams and shaped strategies. LINK
- Adelaide Wedding Pages: Produced a 190-page high-gloss magazine—design, ad artwork, production—saving $30,000 in print costs thanks to my industry knowledge.
- Lynda.com / CorelDRAW course: Created a course that stayed as their top CorelDRAW training for five years—they told me it was “unusually successful.” LINK
- Multimedia training: Six software tool courses and 30 video-based CDs sold in newsstands across Australia before transitioning online as a subscription model.
Before moving to the U.S., I was lead designer at Southern Engraving—running 64″ wide-format printers, a 6ʹ×10ʹ flatbed laser, and a 3-axis CNC router. I’ve built my foundation on making ideas real, without sketchy shortcuts.
Curious to see my work in action? On Scott-G-Media you’ll find samples of my audio‑visual setups, corporate videos, real-estate shoots (complete with drone), and WordPress web designs. That site was built and written by yours truly.

A FUN PROJECT
I had the privilege of fitting the sponsor logos to an original Shelby Daytona.
I designed all the original logos from old labels and images.
My Creative Family
Joel, my son, once led the Department of Youth Affairs in Australia and is now thriving as a real estate agent. His wife, Chelsea, lights up the screen as a news broadcaster for Adelaide’s Channel 9.
My youngest son, Eli, is a creative soul through and through. He’s already designed his own line of skateboards and is chasing down his dream of being a musician—though in his own words, he just wants to be a rock star! In the meantime, he’s also a fully qualified carpenter. A chip off the old block, as we say in Australia.
My wife, Julie, is a gifted therapist who specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. She has a rare ability to meet people where they are and help guide them toward healing—her work is truly transformative.
And then there was Sugar, our fluffy, four-legged eating machine, who firmly believed the world was created for snacks and cuddles.
